I like Phil's idea of getting an inexpensive switch and simplifying
your network. Put the switch at the MacPro and plug the cable from the

playlists are imbedded in the xml file. If you are using iTunes to
manage your music in SC make sure in SC Basic Settings the Music Folder

Try connecting ad-hoc through the SB Receiver. That's going to require a
factory reset on the Receiver and the Controller.
If you are still having problems this way, I would contact support as

One SlimServer will happily serve many SBs - I have heard of people
using numbers in double figures. You should have no problem with FLAC
over wifi if you just have two or three - no need to restrict it to
MP3.
