I have most of my songs in MP3 formats and FLAC. The MP3s I use for my
portable players, the FLACs for my fleet of SB3s. This sets the stage
for these two feature requests:
1. color code the library entries by format type - make it easier to
tell which is which when browsing the library

connected it to my Tivoli radio and started playing the 24/48 song that
skips on the Duet Receiver. I had the buffer fullness displayed on the

I like TagRename for Windows - very easy to use for bulk file work (and
there's a 14 or 30 day trial). However, I still use mp3tag for some
things like extended tags. JRiver MediaCentre gets good feedback too.

Are you renaming files based on the tags within them or in some other

If it's based on the tags, I'd also suggest MP3Tag.
If it's for something not tag based, have a look at 'Bulk Rename
Utility' (http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk), which, IMHO can do
basically any rename action you can
Aha - this appears to be very similar to bug 5067, except it relates to
a USB hard drive. The server finds the files are not present when
asked to play them so removes them from the database...

It is not the same in Denmark. I looked at many online stores in
Switzerland since the prices are favorable. However none seemed to
stock them and quoted delivery times from 1 week to unknown. I dont
trust unknown online dealers when it comes to delivery times for items

It seems the Squeezebox ( Harmony BTW) product lines have serious
availability issues. A few distributors here have withdrawn them from
their pricelists, because of the delays in delivery. 6 to 8 weeks is
pretty normal, as a minimum. So yes, I'd say there's a problem.

Crutchfield has a number of car receivers with USB inputs. Sounds like
these can hook up to most hdd devices. Unfortunatly, none of them seem
to have flac support that I see. Call me crazy for wanting flac
support.

I've used MP3tag also for retagging renaming over 1 FLAC files.
You don't want to start it too often, as loading the library takes
quite some time but for the work you'll propably want to get done this
is likely you're best bet.

You can't really use the comparison of a laptop as they are differently
designed.
The antenna and quite possibly the radio circuitry are different in a
laptop and the controller/receiver. The laptop's antenna is usually
around the screen in the lid and can be larger than the controller.

however, (it is my understanding), that if you set the BAND tag, that
you can denote that album as by that tag, but you can NOT sort the
album by that tag.

actually quite like it. Overnight, however, it stopped and was stuck
somewhere around 4am.

For some reason my SB3 has started playing the selected song over and
over again. If I select an album, it just plays the first song over and
over and over. If I select an individual song it does the same. I can
play other tracks by using the FFWD REW buttons, but then it just
plays that track

Try resetting to factory settings:
Resetting to factory default is performed by holding down the ADD(+)
button on the remote while plugging the players' power connector in.

following settings: Repeat Current Song - Repeat Playlist - Repeat
