The InguzDSP plugin is compatible with SC7, It doesn't say if it has
been updated for 7.1 yet though. Must plugins can however be made to
work just by changing a config file telling it to run on 7.1 instead.
The wiki page needs a little editing.

I had some weird problems with the official release of 7.1. Songs
switching to random play half way into a song. Volume reduction
problems. I went to 7.2 and all went away.
Wouldn't have expected any change in behaviour between the two. But I must
admit that I've been testing with 7.2 too.

reported similar problems on an upgrade from 7.0 to 7.1 which was
caused by their virus scanner. Was resolved by setting it to ignore
*.myi and *.myd files (temp files). Will see if I can find the thread

a FLAC radio station (which is what it assumes the URL is) so doesn't
know what to do with the input.

I am seeing some strange new behavior on 7.2 of Slimserver - it is
failing to scan my music folder. The scanner log is below. This is a

A minor but genuinely irritating bug (or is it a feature?). Whenever SC
7.0 starts up I get the usual SC starting taskbar balloon. But it
persists indefinitely, rather than auto closing when SC is up and
running. I always have to X out of it - anyone else with this
problem?

for flac files, but the types.conf that ships with squeezecenter only

as opposed to my Z: drive for music.

I think there's an issue with your settings folder (as pointed out in my
previous post). It has a very odd name. Are you running SC as a service or
as an app?

I installed the plugin.
To get it to appear in the plugins list, I had to edit a file in that

Disabling McAfee's On-Access Scanning makes a huge improvement, so that
is definitely the source of the problem. Unfortunately, in the
MediaSmart I have to have McAfee Total Protection asa Virus Scanner,
and bizarrely I cannot exclude the filename extension .my* (it won't

Ok, I think I got it. It was holding on (somehow) to an old invalid
account email address. The log file indicated it was trying to use
that. So, somehow I deleted it via Squeezenetwork. In the meantime,
SC had some weird permission problem while starting. I ended up
removing and reinstalling

Excluding *.mp3 and *.jpg seems to get me to about the same place as
disabling the scanning completely (I would gess it is primarily the MP3
files). I would get rid of McAfee, but the MediaSmart is a weird system
with that built in.

controller. Running squeezecenter 7.1, but mostly connecting to
squeezenetwork. The problem comes and goes and only a full factory
reset of the controller will bring back things to normal.
