Unfortunately, the XM Radio plugin is not currently supported.
It doesn't use the XMLBrowser plugin interface most other radio
plugins use but only provides a Web Interface.
For the same reason, the XM Radio plugin also doesn't work on the
Squeezebox Controller.

I have a fairly converluted way of getting to the SC via DLNA hardware.
If you have a DLNA Denon Amp, (which can only play MP3 up to 320K) You
can use the remote streaming from the Amp to SC,
http://XXX.com:9000/stream.mp3. A not overly elegant solution, but it
works for me.

I agree NET-UDAP is nedeed for the setup even if you have an SBC.
It is completely logical to have two independent setup procedures one
for SBC and one for SBR as they are two separate machines. To make one
depend on the other is a bizzare choice ?

unit listed for around $425 and the NAS adapter for $185. That's $615
without drives.
I just paid $725 for the LaCie 5Big Network Disk, a 5 drive RAID NAS.

There is no correct answer to this question
As pointed out above the bits are not the problem - The problem is with
the timing information provided by the data edge transitions.
Both connections methods have their drawbacks and all transceiver
implementations have their own foibles.

Second, the devices you mention also lacks both CPU processing power

if it's just a simple audio input port for the local system. I suppose
