OK time to bump this thread!
I just got myself a Boom. It can play BBC WMA streams without any
problem.
However, those sames streams still cause my SB3 to hang and reboot.
This is quite frustrating. I'm not sure if it is just the BBC streams
or WMA in general. I'd really appreciate some

If you are using AlienBBC menus to play the BBC streams then you are
playing the RealAudio format not WMA.
What do you means by nothing happens - for example
- doesn't start
- starts but no audio
- no change from previous settings

Your best bet is probably to wind Synchronization Start Delay up as far
as you can bear: maybe 1-2 seconds. As I said, syncing is always a
little hit and miss with SB1s because of the older protocol
limitations.

FLAC for example (for the filetypes setting), when I go to play the
stream, I get the connecting message on the SB3 display,

What exactly are you doing? I am seeing playlists the same way they are
I have moved SqueezCenter from a PC to a portable both under Vista.
Everything went fine on the ordinary PC and on the portable except on
the latter album art does not show up on the Album page. Changing size
specifications under SqueezeCenter did not fix the problem.

Sharkplay calls a program called RadioShark to to tune in (and light a
LED) then it uses wavin2cmd (from WaveINput) to get the audio.
It is very similar to what you need - I think you just need to rip out
some of the LED code and the messing with manual tuning.

playlist it always said No mixers available and nothing happen. I
can only manage to play an album by choose i then it will add the
album I chose to the playlist and start playing, however in a shuffle

Great work Pippin! I ended up staying up late last night playing with
the new version. That problem with volume due to IR Blaster settings
was weird, thanks for sorting that out. Website is looking nicer too.

I created two playlists in SC. One had 100% Napster tracks and the other
was a mix of Napster and tracks from my PC's hard disk (same PC running
