Would the PS3 Media Server program be of any help. Certainly can play local music and I think stream as well. PlayOn costs money, and really isnn't to good on streaming local media as yet, but you might take a look at that program as well. -- chenrikson

Confirming album art is broken in 1.2 for the Spotify plugin: small covers show in the albums list, but the big image in the Now Playing screen does not show. It did work with the previous version, if I remember correctly. -- RBM

My 2c . Any *thing* running sbs should : 1. Be based on an x86 cpu 1.2Ghz with fpu , otherwise transcoding will suck. And binaries for transcoding and such will exist for that processor. And you want it to run sox for downsampling hirez to older players. Sox seems exclusive to x86 cpu's 2.

If both your SBS and server are running wirelessly then you are doubling the music traffic. E.g. sb - access point and server - access point. If you then copy files between another two wirelessly connected pcs then you have pc1 - access point and pc2- access point. That could add up to a lot of
