Only 1 stream is connected through SBS if the players are synced -
otherwise there are 2 streams even if both players are tuned to same

Would the PS3 Media Server program be of any help. Certainly can play
local music and I think stream as well. PlayOn costs money, and really
isnn't to good on streaming local media as yet, but you might take a
look at that program as well.

Any *thing* running sbs should :
1. Be based on an x86 cpu 1.2Ghz with fpu , otherwise transcoding will
suck.
And binaries for transcoding and such will exist for that processor.
And you want it to run sox for downsampling hirez to older players.
Sox seems exclusive to x86 cpu's

Generally speaking, if you're running out of network capacity, your
solutions are to use less or get more.
Ethernet is the cheapest, fastest, and easiest fix. Otherwise you're
looking at creating segregated wireless networks for data and music, or
some sort of QoS setup. This will probably

If both your SBS and server are running wirelessly then you are doubling
the music traffic. E.g. sb - access point and server - access
point. If you then copy files between another two wirelessly connected
pcs then you have pc1 - access point and pc2- access point. That
could add up to a lot of
