The board has its own on-board power supply, so I just had to buy the 60W AC-DC power adapter also sold by mini-box. It seems to power the board and the two drives just fine. No problems with heat (although I haven't taken any measurements). The unit sits on it's side, so the heat from board and the drives has a direct escape route up.
