easier to read than the Touch's LCD screen. Actual distance depends on
your eyes, lighting, angle, etc, but in general it's hard for most
people to read the Touch's screen beyond 3m / 10 feet.

The Touch has better analog audio, but be aware of what you lose when
you switch from SB3 to Touch. Some very useful (if you are into heavy
customization) plugins don't work anymore, such as IR Blaster and
KidsPlay.

tracks I have tried so far is played significantly louder than normal
on my SB players.
I also noticed that the progress bar in MC is not following the

I finally fixed this.
Adding the port setting to Avast did not fix the issue.
However, once I turned off the Avast virus software, it finally
worked.
I did, turn off Avast for 10 minutes, then turn back on.
For 10 minutes it worked great. I even timed it on my stop watch.
As soon as the 11th min
Transporter, Boom and Controller. Best home entertainment dollars I've
ever spent! Been lucky that I haven't encountered any major software
problems that I haven't caused.

i have 4 classics ver 2 or 3, i think...i rebooted the router...on my
desktop, sb doesn't have pandora in apps anymore..not sure how to

I had similar situation happen to me. bought what I thought was a fully
functional squeezebox classic on ebay and turns out to be a demo model
(non-functional). seller has offered to refund me my $, but he wants
me to send him back the unit. as I don't want anyone else to fall prey

No problems for me either. I've been running squeezecentre in all its
various incarnations from 7.3 to 7.7 and never had a problem on my
Windows 2003 R2 Small Business Server. The server is also running
exchange and sharepoint and copes admirably.

bedroom? If so, consider getting the Touch for your main system. Then
connect the SB3 to a pair of self-powered speakers (such as Audioengine
A2, or whatever your budget permits) in another room. Or if you have old
amp and speakers
keep the SB3 -and- get a Touch :) , use the SB3 in another room
