Seems to be something with the stream format. My SB3 players deliver an
error to this effect (~player unable to play stream format), whereas
my Boom seems able to play the affected stations.

implementation of simultaneous multi-player control makes it - for me -
the hands-down winner of any of the currently available remote options.

You can try Pippin's iPeng plugin to witness the potential for
differentiation. It is significant.
For me, iPeng's simultaneous multi-player control is a revolutionary
improvement. In my experience, this is necessary.

device. That is fine, and I hope the Controller suits the needs of

I don't know much about the Unix strings command, but it sounds like a
tag problem. I would run a program that can analyze ID3 V1 and V2 tags,
where I imagine you will find your odd genre embedded. I use Dr. Tag,
but a good free one appears to be TagScanner. Many more exist.

Changing routers worked for me in a similar scenario, having gone to N.
Use of a homeplug can also help resolve issues related to interference.

I moved to N specifically to get more range, and it did help
significantly.
Another thing you may want to consider is a powerline homeplug
connection for the SB. I did both.

This is probably a problem with the bandwidth of the station itself and
not with your SB setup. In 'Settings Advanced Network' you can try
increasing the size of the radio station buffer and timeout settings.

also cause the SB3 to pick up a playlist started on the TP.
Perhaps a solution for the above is to have the web UI to reflect sync
settings even when a player is off. While I'm at it, an All On and
All Off setting would be nice.

SqueezeNetwork is a perfectly viable option to allow access to music,
especially internet radio, without a PC being turned on. The SB
certainly lacks a USB port ... by design.

for me at one point. Due to interference from
a neighbour's wireless signal, I had to move from a G to a pre-N

I have seen a similar issue with other wifi devices. Enabling SSID
broadcast solved the issue at that time. It may be worth a try to at

Until a recent Squeezecenter (7.0b) update, I had lost the ability to
sync many Live365 stations. Recent versions of Squeezecenter fixed
that; if the same problem affects Last.fm, then that may be a solution.

The URLs you provided are the ones intended for the web browser, which
loads an HTML page including the streams, graphics, advertising, etc.
The correct stream URLs can be found by right-clicking on the stream
dialogues on those web pages and clicking properties.

jack. When you raise the handset of the corded phone, does the problem
still happen? If not, then the theory of the cordless channel
interfering with your wifi holds more water.
