Great extension - very handy when you have music playing and the remote
out of range. I have come across a weird and somewhat annoying bug,

When I have this extension installed, I get a very long delay when
opening popup windows - sometimes it takes 15 seconds from the time I

track title every time, and at the moment that it is updating, Firefox
freezes (OS X spinning beachball) for several seconds. Skipping tracks
with Squeezefox 0.8.1 is now sluggish and gives the beachball freeze

The link for v0.8 above still worked, so I successfully downgraded. I'll
put up with the superfluous mute button for smooth functionality.
Incidentally, I think 0.8.1 was also occasionally breaking playback of

Thanks! Squeezefox in the status bar is updating within a few seconds
when playing now.
Still takes about two minutes to update when skipping tracks either
with the remote or the browser UI.
I'm also not seeing any artwork on track changes, though I have this

Some of the album art I have is very large, especially if it's an old
record and someone has gone to the trouble of making a nice scan, I
just throw it in the directory with the music.

In the current version, in Firefox on a Mac OS 10.4.9 (other info about
my system in my sig) the track title rarely updates on its own, usually
only when I click on it. So like this, not much better than clicking on
the tab for my full browser interface, but I really like the idea,

I've always wanted a plugin like this. Thanks! Here's a couple of
features that would be neat: 1) See a list of upcoming songs
(presumably by hovering over a button) 2) Popup CD artwork as new song
is played 3) show time elapsed/remaining.
Edit: Just realized others have asked for same things.

kept on surfing..

So I installed the 0.7.3 xpi (though the version still reads 0.7.2 in
firefox). Thanks for making volume control optional, that's working. In
preferences I have checked display notification on track change and
display album art in notification, but I see no such notification,
and the track name
I'm having the same problem mentioned above. I was using 0.7 and the
current track was usually correct. I tried .7.3 and .7.2 and both just
show the current track as Fetching server data

I can't get this to work... it just says 'Fetching server data' in the
status bar. I've tried changing the port from 9000 (default) to 9090 (I
presume for the CLI). No dice. I've tried inside my firewall and out
(with appropriate rules for out). Still no go.

Thanks for this, seems to be working great except that sometimes the
track title will update promptly by itself, and sometimes it won't
update unless I click on it.

slider bug

I've made an extension that lets you control your slimserver from
inside firefox. It's inspired by a similar extension by matt welsh, but
with some additional features
Define an server url/port for non localhost servers
Tooltip shows the currently playing
You're right about the volume! I tried it out at work using my SSH
tunnel through Softsqueeze and if I adjusted the volume on SqueezeFox
SoftSqueeze went nuts. It looked like the two were fighting each other
for what to do with the volume.

i think it's something to do with me trying to be too clever :(
one of the fucntions is supposed to update the volume slider to reflect
the volume level reported by the server, but it sometimes seems to get
stuck in a loop :(
i'll give it some more fiddling tonight, and see if i cant get it

Incompatible Extension
Slimserver Control 1.0 could not be installed because it is not
compatible with Firefox 2.0.0.3.
(Slimserver Control 1.0 will only work with Firefox versions from 0.9
to 2.0)

Installed fine for me in 2.0.0.3.
I see problems with multiple players, though. It seems unable to
always keep track of which is the current player, plus it interferes
with the web interface, causing the current player to sometimes be a
target other than what is displayed.
