I use DVD Decrypter in IFO mode (in the Options - IFO mode tab) set the
file splitting to By Chapter. Back on the main interface, in IFO mode,

I did some 'speed tests'

I just use mplayer set to dumpstream to a file. Unfortunately there's
no way to tell mplayer to quit after X number of minutes, so I wrote a
kill script.
I just popped them both into cron and it 'just works'. A crap solution
I know, but it's sufficient for my needs.

By looking around through this board I came to the conclusion that SB
should be able to playback WAV and FLAC files gaplessly. But still I am
not able to reproduce this.

Are you really hearing a gap or a click? They are different things. I
get perfect gapless playback on all my tracks, a mixture of flac and
vorbis - when both are transcoded and streamed as wav. If I stream as
flac and decode on the player I sometimes get a problem where the last
0.5 secs or so is

one I use most. I increased the number of songs to 2000, meaning that
it will list all my recent FLAC rips for quick access. Pretty
Slimserver lists a handful of albums by the same artist under Browse
Genres / No Genre, although these same albums are listed under their

I've triple-checked the Genre tags (3 different tag editors) and
