opens, which means I always have to move the window up a little to get
to the buttons along the bottom. This is a minor annoyance, but maybe

1. I'm trying to use this as a part of a script and I have no way of
knowing the PID ahead of time.
2. I wasn't sure if there were any other processes or cleanup that the
server stop executes that don't happen when you kill the process.

but in the meantime some things that I found useful:
- cleaning up the mp3 tags. If you haven't done this it can make a big
difference. You can do this in a lot of different ways. There is a
bunch of freeware out there.
I had something like this happen to me, but it was after I re-ripped
some tracks at a different bit-rate. In my case, telling SlimServer to
forget everything and rescan did the trick. (A rescan for new and
changed *didn't* help, btw.)

iTunesupdate and things seem to be just fine.
My SB3 has been working like a champ for the last 3 hours without
skipping a beat(no pun intended ;-).

It's possible to isolate the input signal, and according to the
Behringer, it IS in fact clipping.
I don't -think- I can hear it clipping audibly (as long as I take a few
dbs off the output signal); but that that's what it says.

Eventually, found that my ATT Global Network Client Version was
updated to 6.6.1.3000, when I connected to work last night.
There is also a Firewall powered by Zone Labs version

I seem to have the same problem as everyone else! Mapped the drive ok,

message. Any explorer window that formally had the Qnap folder/mapped

Yup, i'm pretty sure it's not a problem or fault with my home set-up. I
have been running my squeezebox very successfully from a Western
Digital NAS drive for a while now. Just wanted to get away from the
Slimserver-through-laptop configuration.
So what happens now? Do they need to go back...?
Mine has not arrived yet but I was planning on copying the music files
across using USB and then running the SB3 off it as designed. Anyone
tried this - at least it would get you started?

It's odd to see SB3 having issues with individual songs - nothking's
wrong with them, they play perfect through WMP. All the other songs in
the album play nicely through SB as well, but with one song, there's a
dropout that happens consistently at exactly the same place. File check

A wired connection, which means it isn't one of the standard problems.
Never ignore the obvious. Make sure all the cables are properly plugged
in. And, if you have a spare cable around, try swapping cables, they are
sometimes marginal in quality.

Here is the relevant entries from the log.txt file after I enabled the
plugins debug flag and
You can reset your squeezebox by holding the red power button down on
the remote for 5+ seconds. That gets you to the setup/startup menu
where you can choose which server to connect to. Its a work-around, but
saves having to go round the back of the unit etc.

I am having this same problem. I have done rescans also. I am using
flac files and have put them in a directory. I am able to play them
all using J. River Media Center or other media players. Most of my
flacs were ripped with either J. River or EAC. However, I get this
error of can't open
I have a log file but it is too many characters to be accepted so I have
made an attachment. You will have to look down a ways to see the errors
associated with failed attempts to play tracks off of the Counting Crows
album. Additionally, the beginning of this file seems to indicate I had
a
press-and-hold left on the remote. after a few seconds, you'll go back
into the setup where you can choose the server.
