Would I be correct in thinking that the touch therefore is a better
option than the duet when streaming the apple lossless files. I have
approximate 66,000 songs all in apple lossless and it seems that my
system is 'slowing down'. Considering switching from the duet just for
24/96.

With increasing regularity, when I attempt to listen to BBC Radio 4 FM,
via my own server, either via iPlayer or the 'BBC' app in MyApps, it
doesn't connect. If I select Radio 4 LW instead, it's fine.
I'm not sure that it's to do with the time of day (i.e.
demand-related); although it is
Thanks for a great app for the iPad.
Overall I find that it works brilliantly with the duet. Very rarely use
the controller anymore.
I do notice though that after a library rescan for new music that re
caching takes a long time and that playback stops and starts until the
caching has finished.
Hello
I have now several rebuffering per hour when I'm listening to radio

This started a few weeks ago.
I had almost no problem for several years before ...
I have a wired SB Touch, connected to my router and a FTTH internet
connection ( 100 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload).

Finally got an Android phone and got SC. Tried the free ones on the
girlfriends phone last week, they're good but SC is much neater.
It would be nice to have a homescreen Widget for SC, maybe a single
line with play/pause,prev, next and currently playing text

Please have a look at the FAQ on penguinlovesmusic.de, there is now a
section about performance at the beginning.

Have you tried seeing whether the format AAC vs WMA makes a difference.
IF there is no difference then it is probably some sort of network issue
(e.g. DNS caching). If there is a difference and then it is probably a
local BBC server/network issue - these can affect users
Both AAC and MP3 use Flash as Transport so I expect their service to be
similar. I think WMA may use a different set of servers/network
connections.
You need to check BBC iPlayer web behaviour before you complain. I
think BBC iPlayer to be the reference service and it uses AAC by
default.
I got bored with the BBC repeatedly breaking the Radio 4 FM stream. I've
gone back to using the WaveInput plugin and a DAB radio plugged into my
server again.
Thankfully they seem to manage to break iPlayer less often than the
live stream.

nice if you could add the URLs to MediaWiki's blacklist, in addition to

I found a precompiled version of Squeezeslave on the internet that fits

Starting Squeezeslave results in an error message:
Hi, the command:

Squeezeslave is licensed free of charge. There is NO WARRANTY for

These two modules provide OSS support with ALSA so that looks right.

If the /dev/dsp? device is already open by another program,

I am a little lazy now. :-)
Does this little plugin work with Squeezebox touch? And have i
understood correct, i do NOT need Spotify Premium to this to work?

The search is fine as it is, I use it rarely.
The few times I use it it is different what I'm searching for,
I've had a similar problem with Radio4FM late at night and even early
morning (2am-ish) on a Touch with BBCiPlayer app.
As you say, the Radio4LW stream will connect straight away, and
sometimes 4FM will connect on a 2nd attempt.
