Haven't used SqueezePlay for a while since switching to Squeezelite but I never had any connectivity issues running it on Win 7. I don't recall it being necessary to run it as Administrator. Try switching to mysqueezebox.com: Settings > Advanced > Networking Then switch back to "My Music". --

Just FYI, latest Squeezeplay plays 24/96 on my Win 7 laptop. Great FLAC tag checker/editor is Mp3tag; have used it for years with Squeezebox with good results. Full support for any tags you want including those mainly used with classical, e.g. COMPOSER, CONDUCTOR. -- Apesbrain
