Darn :-( 40 minutes off play. Then the music stops, SS is displaying
stopped and sb is displaying stopped.

Some routers has a country setting or similar that turns on the
channels above 11 or different firmware, my old netgear had a US and
non US firmware. I think ch13 are illegal to use in US but it is not
likely that a SWAT team will knock down your door for that.

Receiver is self upgrading, and with the latest bunch of fw for the SB3
(SB classic ) and SB2 you can change a setting to make them self
upgrading to, so you don't have to use the brightness button any more
after that.

Are you playing a flac file to ?
Then I have to guess that you are using flac/cue files.
Is it so one flac file for a whole album then a cue file ?
These have to be transcoded with flac to get each song from it.

So an ethernet wire for the HTPC server will solve a lot problems for
you.
Or maybe you could put any old PC closer to the router and wire it and
run a torrent client on that ?
