So I am now the proud owner of a pair of Audioengine 5 speakers. I'm
currently running them in using an SB3 on random play. The next step is
to install them in the room intended for them. I have searched the web
but I can't find a definitive answer on how to mount them, especially

Having now had the opportunity to listen to the Aego M's and A5's side
by side for a number of weeks I think that both are excellent, however,
the A5's are my preferred choice. Music seems to have more presence when
played back using the latter.

When I switch my SB3 on with the remote there is a click on the
speakers as though the input (i.e. the SB3) has just come on which is

The Dec issue of Stereophile has a mostly positive listening review of
the A2.
The technical measurements uncovered some distortion but ended with an
overall positive tone.
However they went through 3 samples because of defects which were not
acknowledged by the company.

problem and they suspected a damaged woofer. The second sample produced
no music and issued regular continuous popping sounds. Both sample pairs

I was getting a buzzing noise from the amplifier (if you search my
threads I'm sure you will find one I posted about it) but I am very
happy with them now and I think this was just a one off.

I've got a pair which I am very happy with.
I got them from ecodigital.co.uk and they were very helpful when I had
to return my first pair due to a slight issue.
They do the A5 and the A2 although they only appear to have the A5 in
stock at the moment.

I am fixing a pair of YSM1Ps as I'm writing this. I found a response to

the transformer inside the amp is vibrating from the electricity and
the vibrations have not been properly dampened. A line conditioner

I went for the Audioengines as this they are for an additional
Squeezebox in an office room where I wanted something compact that
would sound reasonable and I have seen some very positive reviews of
them.
I don't expect them to be as good as my main Squeezebox
For those audiophiles who want the cleanest sound possible when
connecting to powered speakers, I found a little product that balances
the signal when converting from rca to XLR.
