I have a 384K DSL connection, and I don't understand what I should be adding for traffic shapping... I put down 1kbit for the LAN (IN) side and 256Kbit for the WAN (Out)... Was that the correct entries for the shapper?

I have pfsense connected to a Cisco 2500 for the WAN
connection. Attached to the Cisco via a high speed serial
cable to a box that say World DSL. I can't get any specifics
on the capabilities of the DSL box. When I did telnet the
box, I get connected to another Cisco router which I cannot
access.
I am not using the embedded version...

I installed pfsense on a server for a WISP. The LAN
interface is connected to a switch which as 4 access points connected
which provides the LAN connectivity to the clients.
On the WAN side is a cross-over cable connected to a Cisco
2500 series router with does absolutely nothing except to

Ben,
Thanks for info on all of the above. The only thing that I
think I am having a problem it, is I cannot setup a static
route on D-Link device. There is not option on DI-624 that
allow for setup of static routes.
Understand that the WRT54gs router does go out on the
internet just fine. The on
I have installed siproxd on my pfsense. I have read all of
the documentation both at sourceforge as well at pfsense
forum. I am still lost on what I need to set up on pfsense
to allow my asterisk server to proxy the SIP connection
through siproxd. Has anyone played with that?
K.
I am connected to a wireless service at my house. In my
house I have a WRT54g with a LAN address of 192.168.10.1,
and a WAN address of 10.0.0.1.
On the WAN port, I am connected to a D-Link D-624 which has
a LAN address of 10.0.0.1 and WAN address of 192.168.0.200.
The router off the service is 19

Every package that I attempt in install fails. I am running
1.0 beta1. I also have tried to do the auto updater try and
get the beta firmware and that seems to fail as well. Is
there something that I am not enabling?

With pfSense, is it possible to bond together several
incoming media (for instance several DSL circuits), to
provide create larger bandwidth to the LAN? And if so, could
one effectively creates create greater outgoing bandwidth?
K.
I have a client that want to be able to view graphs and
other general reports. Is there a way to make a strictly
report based web interface, which will allow some to see
things like state tables, dhcp leases, graphs, and other
reports, but no ability to make any changes to any features
or rules?
K
I just got on the console the following:
kern.ipc.maxpipekva exceeded; see turning(7)
And with that, I can not get dhcpd to allot client addresses to the AP.
Although I am able to get an address when I am plugged into the switch.
Does anyone know what might be the problem?-- Kim C. Callis[EMAIL

How does one ascertain that OID for the interfaces on a pfsense box. I
need to display some graphs to the powers that be, but the monitoring
packages wants the OID. I know what it is, but I have to make use of
that before..

When you first install pfSense the first time, you are given the
option of making a VLAN between the LAN and WAN interface. Is there
any benefit in doing that, and what exactly does it do to have a VLAN
in place?
