Big AL and NUKEM! :-) Haven't heard those calls in a while. I also
know another ham that has an 8K sitting in a closet, or at least he did
the last time I asked about it, but he still had never plugged it in.
Those things weigh a TON!
Don't think the BIG amps aren't out there. I saw with my
I'll be sure to keep my spare set handy also! ;-)
I've had my trusty HF6V for 13 (hope that's not an omen) years. It has
performed extremely well all things considered. It's been through 3 moves,

clean it up
Congrats Ron!
I can relate to your excitement. This year was also when I completed
5BDXCC finishing up 80 this season.
For whatever reason when I lived in Illinois I just never got down on
75/80 to work DX. I guess I was under that common mis-conception that
there wasn't any DX on that band
Sorry for the off topic (if there such a thing in a chat forum) ;-)
I have an old Alinco DR-110T that is being used for 2m packet cluster
link. I don't have the owners manual, but I was told Pin 6 on the Mic
connector is a N/C.
I've found some info on the Inet that leaves me to believe some of

Europeans and he was working others.

Hello group,
Just a quick question regarding EWEs. I'm getting ready to punch some
holes in the ground today to put up a set of 4 EWE 80m receiving antennas.
I've read both articles by Floyd Koontz, WA2WVL, about his 80/160 flavors
and wondered if anybody has had any experience with them.
Hello list,
I have for sale a GAP Voyager in excellent condition. I added a third set
of guys (GAP only provides two sets) for better wind stability and will
include brand new Phillistrand guys. I'll also include a custom made
insulated mount that allows you put the antenna on 1-1/2 water pipe
I think part of the frustration is the chosen operation times. They
start after the bands have closed for guys West of the Rockies and QRT
before the bands have opened. I have yet to hear them anywhere since
they've been there. It's roughly a 10,000 mile path here and the window
is fairly

Heh, I'd (am I'm sure others) would just like to *hear* them. ;-)

I don't want to start any type of political war, but if I'm not mistaken I
believe Ed was asked to leave about the same time NK re-started it's nuke
program and political activies around that. I believe nearly ALL
non-nationals were expelled at that time.
I'd be willing to bet Ed's QRT had

Bill,
If you phone supports email, you can use DX Central to send an email to
your phone - although not in real time. An hour is the smallest increment
you can get them (at this point).
The messages are not formatted to be phone friendly, but might work for
you. Did you have something specific
I second that feeling. I was able to break the JA wall this morning on
40 before my sunrise. However, they also showed up on 80m with a very
good signal into Colorado just before my SR. Many 0s, 6s 7s were
calling and calling yet they continued to work mostly JAs. I listened for
a while
Larry,
I can understand your frustration. However, you seem to think you need
some monster station to work these guys (or any DXped). This is not true.
I have a very modest station. Cushcraft A3 at 38' for 10, 15 20.
Butternut vertical w/4 radials for 40 80CW. That's it. Now, I will
admit
Anybody have a spare room they would be willing to let go? Last minute
decision to attend Dayton this year has left me in a lurch.
Please reply off list.

Hi guys -
I'm putting together my next column for World Radio and I'm interested
in hearing from DXers that are active from small city/suburban lots.
Specific things like what types of antennas do you use, do you use an
amp, do your neighbors complain and what was your most prized catch and
how
Thanks to everyone that responded to my request for your experiences in
HF challenged locations. It was very interesting reading all of the
stories about how you still manage to work DX despite the challenges.
It was also interesting to see what some consider little pistol

Hi guys -
I had 1/2 a room at the Crowne come available this morning. If you're still
looking for a place to stay and would like to split a non-smoking room on
the executive floor, email me off list. [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Somewhat off topic - the subject pretty much says it all. After nearly 5
years on auto-pilot, I have again taken an interest in developing a new
improved DX Central website.
If you are a good Interface guy that can think outside the box, I'd like to
hear from you. If you're an OO programmer
Hi Guys -
I'm working on the next WorldRadio DX column (April issue) and I'd like
to get your stories and experiences around your low band operations -
particularly 160M, but also 40 80. Whether your a big time low band
operator or a small time DXer trying to eek out a country or two, I'd

Hi Guys -
I was thumbing through an old box of QSL cards the other day and
reminiscing about some of the QSOs that where in there. It's pretty
amazing how we can look at a QSL card and it brings back the memories of
working that station.
I thought it might be interesting to wrap this into a
Hi Guys -
I've seen several posts on this list asking about the status of the DX
Central website telnet cluster. On Sunday, 15 March the backend server
that is basically the traffic cop and responsible for directing data to
the various servers suffered a major crash. This essentially took out
Hi guys -
I'm working on an upcoming DX World column for WorldRadio Online (now free

projects you might have planned around improving your station. With summer
