The manufacturer has used the wrong cable type, it will not get better with
time. It should not be ordinary pvc. Send it back, there's a batch
problem.

Stay with the kit. It saves $240 and only requires a few hours of turning a
screwdriver, plugging in circuit boards and messing about with the menus for

We actually have -both- IF and AF DSP filtering in tandem in the K3 for best
performance. The confusion came about because we chose to display the audio
b/w, which is 1/2 of the IF b/w for AM. (2 identical sidebands in AM.) Of
course in SSB the IF b/w and the Audio b/w are the same since SSB
