Hi,
You can use the rit CLR button to reset to a flat response. I'd like to see
an equaliser memory setting for each mode. I'm getting tired of wondering
why the NR isn't working as well as usual on SSB,
Is there someone in Europe who is planning to split his KPA100 from the K2
and placing it in a separate EC2 enclosure?
I sold my K2 so I've got some parts available like: an EC2 enclosure (used 6
month but like new) and the KIO2 build and ready to go including the
interconnection control cable.
Hi all,
Can anybody recommend a PSK31 software package that will key the K3
using PSK D mode with direct keying instead of an audio input? Have it
set up that way for RTTY with MMTTY and would like to continue.
Thanks.

One:- is has anyone tried using the KXPD1 key with a K3 ? and does it work?
TWO :- My K3's tuning knob has already lost all the paint from the
finger hole, I dont have sharp nails and I dont tune around with it
much, but the paints almost gone and it looks real used :(
Any ideas why?

Randy,
How do you have the microphone connected to the rig? You mentioned that you
are using the rear mic connections. Have you made you own adapter? I had
attempted to use the same mic and re-wired it for my K3 and it just didn't
work properly. I know this mic requires an input voltage, however
I have a set of Heil headphones. Although I don't work much phone I would

The Heil headset can be plugged into the rear panel jacks - no adapter

I think all K3s probably do this. Mine does at 52.445.81! I suspect we are
listening to the synthesizer and the vibrations a modulating the frequency
via a mechanical path to the L component in the oscillator.

Hi,
I just ordered and received the W1 Wattmeter and the W1SERKT interface
cable which I'll be using primarily wiyh my K2.
Anything I should know before I begin? Any insights, or experiences you

Thanks in advance.

Hi Tom ...
One change I made to my W1 that helps a lot from a usability point-of-view
is to replace some of the red LEDs in the SWR indicator with different
colors. This is because the W1 is small and has even smaller lettering on
the SWR scale. In my installation, and probably most others, it

This is normal. The K3 firmware doesn't yet support any setting other than

This is usually observed when you have the internal speaker running but

An alternate method may be to make the blink longer on than off and give
more chance to read it.

That doesn't really help in this case, as the TX symbol is normally on

Perhaps the delta LED could blink too, when test mode is on ?

Hello group,
Does anybody know whether the K1 can be modified to provide a keying output,
