One other thing that I hadn't run across but was called to my attention - The
averaging mode must be set to 2 as well as having a high refresh rate or the

Averaging is clunky when tuning because BY DEFINITION a period must
pass with accumulation of individual data points in order to make a
display. IF you leave averaging on when you tune, by mathematical
definition, the display MUST lag behind where you really are tuned, by
the averaging period.
I understand the explaination as the PTT acting illogical. And yes, no other
rigs act like this. I believe this is a carry over from several years ago when
an update was made that fixed an issue that even in PTT mode, if the key was
hit it would actually transmit. Now at least it doesn't

seconds of tuning and moving the frozen signal on the screen. So you could see
moving your determined signal to the filter section.

should work just fine. I am using my K3 on 28 MHz to operate on
1296-MHz with a 1296/28 transverter. I ordered the 25w transverter

This is not specified, but to be safe, I'll say after. However, I've
observed very little additional drift during warmup. This is a TCXO,
not an ovenized oscillator, so it would tend to correct for all
temperature changes whether due to internally generated heat or
ambient changes.
