KN1CBR, a long-time Elecraft user and builder of several K2
transceivers, is downsizing and has a K2 + KAT100 system that he wants
to donate to an organization that helps new hams get started. Donee must
be a school or 501(c)(3) organization that will use the gear rather than

Works with any transceiver. The RS232 interface is for f/w updates
and data displays via an attached computer.
The '- -' display usually happens when there is not enough power to
tune and generate a proper SWR.
And this display could be an indication that the K3 is in test mode.
Be sure that the TX indicator is not flashing.

I had this happen once and it turned out to be the Astron LM-35 power supply
I was using. It did not repeat on another supply I had. Still haven't looked
into repairing the Astron, but understand it is not an uncommon failure.
