all key plugs/jacks are three-circuit ... tip, ring and
sleeve ... in both 1/8 and 1/4 diameters.
IMHO, modifying software to satisfy the wants of a few
of us isn't warranted. In your case, doing it right is just

A few years ago there was a dipole advertised in QST and other
places that claimed to be broadband with a very low SWR on all
bands. Turns out an XRAY of the junction box / center insulator
revealed a resistor (50 ohms?) in parallel with the coax connector

I have a large number of 1/8- plugged patch cords.
None seem to fit the K3's jacks correctly. I've always
attributed this to the quality of the jacks, not a possible
size mismatch.
The plugs on my several Heil headsets fit so sloppy
that I've sometimes used tape to hold them askew
to maintain

FWIW, there has been concern voiced that the weight of the after-market brass

Forgive me for asking, but I'm not a contester and am
Most sheet metal shops can sheer copper sheets into almost any width one
would want, and the cost is reasonable. I had about half of a 4 x 8 sheet
sut into 1 and 2 inch x 4 foot strips several years ago and that's used
throughout my station's grounding system.
