I think that this is a correct statement if we take 100% done to

I did the same thing with my K1. I had to ream the 6mm hole out to
0.25 in. Somewhat tricky. I used a drillpress with a Dremel tool
bit. I like the result. I think the K1 knob is weighted also, but I
like the larger diameter.

If I remember correctly, the base K2 came without the ground screw.
Its been a long time. I think the ground screw came with the ATU.
The K1 doesn't have a ground screw, even with the ATU. I am confused
about the use of an RF ground with a balanced antenna. One of the

I would like everyone considering cancelling thier K3 order due to any
reason to do so at once. I may yet get my very own K3 by Xmas. I think my
serial number may already have decreased by one or two.

. Also, it is field repairable with a
small knife if the wire plug breaks. I just moved into a new house and
have been using just such a portable antenna for two months now with no
breakage, yet.

I assume the K3 will have serial numbers like the other Elecraft rigs. I am
wondering if the numbers will be different for factory build v. kit build?
