Hi John, Your K3 isn;t damaged. :-) The 1.28 loader should be fine. If you are having CPU lockup problems, that may be due to a comm driver version issue if you are using a USB to Serial adapter like the KUSB. If you have the KUSB, you absolutely need to be using the latest drivers. They are

Paolo, The only 'wrong' thing is that you did not heed the information in the Firmware section of the Errata sheet - which points out those things not yet available. Method 3 is not yet implemented. Use one of the other methods until the supporting firmware has been released. 73, Don

Phil, The first thing to check is the bandpass filter for 80 meters. Check that L5 is properly soldered and has a value of 33 uHy. Recheck the BPF peaking using a transmit power of 1.5 watts. Normally, the response across 80 meters is rather flat, and I suspect that you have a problem
