Unfortunately the K2 KPA100/KAT100 will only work with the K2. For the K3 you'll need to get the KPA3/KAT3 modules, or possibly get an external amp such as KXPA100/KXAT100 that can be used with both K2and K3 (albeit not as fully integrated as the dedicated amplifier/ATU options for each radio).

John, If your KX1 has 4 bands, you have firmware 1.02 - it is required to support 80 meters. That is also the latest firmware revision. There was a change in the encoder used in the KX1 a while back. The new one has a tighter 'feel' to it. You might want to consider changing it. The
