Hi Bill,
I've read this before about interleaving the windings of T-4, but I didn't
realize that Gary was "officially" suggesting it. Can someone tell me what
"interleaving" means? I must have played hooky that day in class. Is it
sort of twisting the wires like on a bi-filar winding? As I re

Hi Yves,
How about a Pac-12 Portable antenna. I use a Pac-12 that I made
myself. It's a good portable antenna and easy to construct. Here is a

I've worked quite a number of stations on 40, 30, and 20. (QRP levels.)
Also, take a look at:

The way to approach a problem that extends over several stages is to "half
split" it. That means you go half way into the circuit and monitor, for
normal operation. Then, if that works move half way later in the chain of
circuits and so on, until you narrow down the problem to one stage.

Here is a summary of the KPA100 + KAT100-2 discussion as I last tracked it (I
am hoping to do this myself some day). If there are any corrections ro

Yves,
I use either a homebrewed Buddipole:

or a homebrews PAC-12

I like both.

i can use the k2 for qrp or togehter with the power-box for high-power.
what is to order? one EC2, one KPA100, one KAT100-2?
do I need a 2 nd KIO or ist the one which comes with the KPA100 enough?

With SMD you should be able to fit it where I put my Manhattan-style
zero-beat indicator + audio amplifier: on the back of the front panel board
above the mic connector. The advantage is that all connections go to the
front panel board so there will be no loose wires.

There's really no need for a complicated interface, especially if you
just want to get started.
I have a web page "Using the Elecraft K2 for data modes" which you can
see at http://www.tech-pro.net/g4ilo. This is derived from an old list
posting by Ron D'Eau Claire, AC7AC, on the subject.
