My guess would be you would spend more energy heating the
oven up drying out the silica gel than leaving the rig on
all the time.
I would just turn it off and cover it up.

With all due respect, it's not a matter of global warming 100 years from now.
It is happening RIGHT NOW. The ice caps are melting at a terrific rate,
ocean levels are rising, small islands are disappearing. Entire species of
animals are vanishing. Glacier Park in Montana has gone from 200
Conformal coating is actually meant to solve a completely different
problem. Imagine an environment that regularly goes from high heat/
high humidity to very cold/dry conditions in just a few minutes. When
that happens, condensation is sure to happen. Conformal coating takes
care of this
I was considering getting an AF1 and using it, along with the K2 to

Would a KAT100 tuner be able to tune a random length dipole strung along

If not can you suggest an alternative antenna that would, I am seriously

Ben,
The MH2 that I have makes hot connections only to pins 1 and 2 and
ground on pins 7 and 8, so you can use any of pins 3, 4, 5, or 6. If
you have wired the resistor to mic jack pins 6 and 1, then pin 6 is not
usable unless you modify the 5 volt take-off point on the front panel board.
Hello Barry
Since your dipole will be indoors, I would suggest making
it a bit longer, closer to 33 ft.
Run the first 23 feet as you plan, with the feedpoint in the
center. At the ends, let the extra wire extend down 1 foot.
The bring the remainder back toward the center, keeping
the 1 foot

I enjoy rummaging in my junkbox for odd inductors
