paddle contacts are both closed. This would restore keying control to the

antenna for. If just 40M, then you may do as well with coax and not need
the tuner. If you use it for an all band doublet, the tuner may have
difficulty on some bands depending on the impedence and the lenght of the
feedline.

The K1 doesn't have a ground screw, even with the ATU. I am confused
about the use of an RF ground with a balanced antenna. One of the

I did the same thing with my K1. I had to ream the 6mm hole out to
0.25 in. Somewhat tricky. I used a drillpress with a Dremel tool
bit. I like the result. I think the K1 knob is weighted also, but I
like the larger diameter.

The internal tuner is good and the external tuner is better and can be
used with other QRP rigs. Also, if you want to change filter boards
frequently, the internal tuner has to be removed to change the filter
boards. This doubles the work.

You must
cleans up less than pure sidetone audio, too. I would like to
get some good communication 'phones, without the microphone thingee. Any
recommendations. I like the kind that seal out external noise. I like to
use a bug but the damper clacking is distracting to me.

jacks in my keyer box in parallel with my keyer output
jack but I have to move plug to the rig de jour. I need to decide on RCA or
mini phone jacks at the keyer. I am leaning toward RCA as I have had better
luck with reliability that way. Someday.
