Getting excited now that my K4 should be shipping in the next several weeks.
After all, the Mother Ship said that the Group 1 orders will be filled by the
end of May (this May—grin).
And I'm in Group 1 sooo………I’ll believe it when I see it (grin).

Currently my Verizon home wireless phone router is not co-located in my shack.
There is an Ethernet jack on the router that I’ve used to install new firmware

I’ve built and owned Elecraft gear since 1999.
Still have my KX3 and KX2.
I bought a Flex 6600M rig and it was the best radio I’ve owned in years.
But Flex messed with the firmware to where if you were in full QSK mode and
used the internal ATU a loud relay would start clicking

Thought I found the correct adjustment by going to MENU item “Height of
waterfall display”.
I got the full screen I wanted…but after I turned the KX3 on the large full
screen changed to about half size.
Tried gain several times without success…I can’t seem to replicate the full
screen I want.

I gotta admit that the tube audio was much more pleasant to listen to as
compared to the solid state rigs.

KX3 kit s/n 994 began spewing out electromagnetic waves this morningwas
ordered on 18 Feb.and it has been worth the wait.
Receiver sure seems nice...felt as if I were operating my K3...controls very
similar...menu very similar.

KX3 than those using it mobile in a car...in any event why not make the degree
of friction adjustable by the user?
I hate to have to grind away trying to turn a main tuning knob when

I use the PAR 40/20/10 for my field ops...I loaded this antenna up on 15M using
the KAT2 tuner in my K2 and worked some DX with it.
It loaded up easily and seemed to perform OK on 15Mso I guess it is

Getting the itch to build another kit so I offer for sale a KX1 I completed a
few months ago.
This KX1 is the basic model covering 20/40 meters and is in like-new condition
fully tested and operational.
Works like a charm and while I never took it out of the shack it is a great
