I've been trying to get compile help here for weeks. I don't think
this is the place for actual help with the build of E. No answers

I have all the enlightenment libraries and enlightenment itself built
into Slackware installable packages.
These are built for Slackware 12.2 and installed and run fine on my
system.

Is there any way to lock the icons in place? Every time I kill X and
restart the icons are all mixed up from where I left them. I would

I just installed Enlightenment From the git repository and it works
except for one thing. When I click on 'Applications/Multimedia/Emotion
Media Center' I get "Emotion Media Center stopped running unexpectedly"

Ok from reading the web site I understand that gstreamer 1.63 can be
installed in parallel with 0.10 so if I install 1.63 is it going to kick
out an error because it's not gstreamer-1.0?I may have my question
