Here, in a nutshell, is the point that I am trying to communicate, perhaps poorly in previous messages: On a Windows OS, be it 98, ME or 2000, I can use Outlook 2000. I do not have to upgrade an operating system from 98 to be able to use the very latest upgrade or version of Outlook 2000.

Can anyone from MS clarify this once and for all? Is the IE 5 on the Office 2001 CD any different from the official 5.0 distribution version? The reason for me asking this is because I recall some people telling me to use it instead of the original one to avioid conflicts with Entourage.

Simply clicking on it will normally show you the "Recommended" resolutions. Control-clicking will normally show you "All" available resolutions. Apparently, on a 1400 Powerbook, there is only one available and recommended. Lots of choices. g Apparently it only does 800x600 internally.
