The short answer is, yes, it's possible. The longer answer

minimal. It's not even possible using Word VBA to directly access it. The
only way is to treat the address book as a mail merge source, and that's
really very cumbersome. It's actually easier to just use the Data Merge
Manager to start with.

To use a message, select it and select Resend from the Message menu, add
your recipient and send it normally.
