Simpleconfigurator is I believe completely generic and could be used on
other frameworks. It does have some optional Equinox dependencies.
Simpleconfigurator.manipulator requires frameworkadmin. There was a time
in the past when we had prototypes of frameworkadmin for Felix and
Knopplerfish

Can you please enter a bug for this. We probably need to change the

In the Equinox call today we discussed the problem of externalized strings
that shouldn't be externalized. Generally, strings intended for debugging
and diagnosis should not be externalized. There is more guidance on what
kinds of strings should be translated or not here:

I think the jobs-specific code should go in the jobs bundle. It may not
end up taking the exact form of the prototype, but having a job-based
executor in the jobs bundle makes sense to me (it may just be added to
IJobManager rather than a separate class, but that's an implementation
detail).

I deleted the stale projects yesterday morning. Viewcvs seems to be
running on a cache or backup machine because it was still showing the
projects several hours after they were deleted.

creates a shell, prompts for install location, and then invokes
IDirector.provision to perform the actual install. We never thought of the
installer as the foundation for a commercial quality installer and thus

time. That is something difficult to do with a zip, but should be simple
