A simple autotransformer can convert 240V single phase into split phase. Technically the transformer only has to be rated for the maximum difference in power between the two legs, however even 5kVA autotransformers are relatively cheap and only weigh about 30 pounds. Note: an autotransformer ca

I agree with David, a non-working 2012 is probably only worth $3,000. If it requires a HV pack swap ($7,500 for new) that's $10,500, which is the price of a used 2015/2016 Leaf. It would probably cost $2,500 to get a surplus leaf battery, plus labor to swap the modules over, so even a DIY mec
