Before I started doing TM regularly in 1969, I smoked 20 cigarettes a day. In
January 1970 I gave up smoking and never went back to it. I credit TM for this.

I don't doubt that he finds TM beneficial in making maintaining sobriety
nicer. But this is not how he kicked, that was years before. I was objecting
to the idea that he owes his sobriety to TM.
