Wow
Jenn--I'm thrilled to hear about Bones' prognosis, especially after
that heroic undertaking of yours---you could probably sleep for a week at this
point. The vet sounds a real goodie. And love your story about
Bones"performing" forthe doc.

all the treats and
Yes it is the test he suggests and was sent to the lab he has listed
on his website. I called them to ask how much they charged when I got
the bill from my vet and they charge $120.00 per test. Maybe the cost
he mentions is with his fee for handling and shipping.

Did your kitties get treated on his treatment? If so, how did it go? I
am very curious because of my OB is getting thinner and thinner - and so
is his hair..and I want to try it -
Did you use Antech or Idexx lab?

PS. I forgot to mention the first test she sent they never got, so
maybe she charged me a little something for that, we had to draw blood a
second time. Poor babies, they really hate that :(

Hi,
This is the lab on his website that he has listed as doing the test:
National Veterinary Diagnostic Services (N.V.D.S)
27994 Bradley Rd., Suite 1
Sun City, CA 92586
Phone: (951) 672-1494
Website: www.national-vet.com
Their cortisol was very low for both, their estrogen was
alittle high
They've been on it for a while but until I can afford to retest I
really won't know how their levels are now and whether I need to adjust
the dose they are getting. With Bailey being positive we have to be
careful not to comprimise his immune system. Joey's diarrhea is much
better, and
The only thing I did not like about it using steroid- He does mention
about using natural type - have you ever looked into that?

No - not yet - sometimes hopeful, sometimes sad. Sigh. We've gotten great
advice. Posting and passing out a flyer, and made a business card with
his picture on it. Offering a reward, but not saying on the poster how much.
Diane says she feels he's near water, and hiding. We've been
Gloria,
Don't forget..."near water" may not be a stream or lake as would be our first assumption...but rather near a sewer drain...or inside of one (cats often like to go down there)wouldn't hurt to put your head down a few and call...or sit there with some freshly warmed tuna or fried
Oh.. poor baby, he is probably very scared - important thing is that
kids do not try to find him or chase him as they may think they are
helping but actually it will scare him more, and you don't really want
Sam to move or get scared away and go some place else where it might not
be safe. It's
Thanks, Tamara - good point. Fortunately, the place where they've seen him
is a very nice old estate-type place, with lots of space, and places to
hide. One of our state senators lives there, and is understanding. I
said, aren't you a city director or something - I know that went over
well.
I think I did ask my vet about that and she said something about the
way the pred works is better than a natural steriod for now. And they
are getting a very miniscual dose 1/4ccs once a week. Even at their
highest dose it was only 5ccs a day for 4 weeks, then we lowered it to
2ccs
Gloria, she just called be back (in two minutes after I left her a message) and
I am sure that she will call you right back - but I got the rest of the
wordings - she is a wonderful person, she is an instructor at C C (??)
foundation. She is the one who recommend that I talk to Marta Williams
Yuk Sewer is a possibility unfortunately -Did Diane say that
he seems like he is stuck some place - how did he describe his physical
and emotional state, is he starving? Is he stuck??? They can often tell
you those things as well - those things will be helpful, too. - One good
thing
Interesting, thank you so much for your information - which state are
you located at ? Was it easy to find a vet to follow dr. Plechner's
approach?

Oh, also...I caught this strand late...so I don't know all that you've tried, but...if you find that someone "thinks" they see Sam, and its close by...or at least near a neighbor who would be willing to keep an eye out for you.leave a dirty sock nearby (there are more scent glands on your feet
Great idea about asking AC to send an
energy to bring him home they can send Sam an energy to tell him how to
get home, sending a picture of how to get home (though, I think the
problem might be that he does not think his foster family is not his home as he
probably thinks of his former
I'm in Washington state and the vet I've used for years is very open
to anything I suggest, I told her about it and faxed over some info and
his website and she researched it and thought it sound interesting, she
was surprised at their bloodwork results. She is always going to
continued
PS. She comes to the house for anything they don't need office
equipment for (we even did their vaccines here the last two years, I
hold them to draw blood), because she knows what a paranoid mom I am and
how I worry about stressing them (the clinic is a 3 minute drive from my
house), now
Oh my gosh - I thought I liked my vet - I just LOOOVE
yours!! That's my kind of vet!!
I would almost want to move to where you are now just so that your vet
can take care of mine, too! (I have got over 50 of them - I do make lots
of visit to the vet office)-

Do you think your vet would be willing to talk to my vet about her
experience in treatment of Dr. Plechnner?
I was going to talk to her about it, and I haven't - I am sure that she
will be open to this, but I feel more comfortable if she can talk to
someone who actually applied the practice like

Thank you, let me talk to my vet first to explain what I am thinking of
as she has no information on this treatment at all at this moment - as
soon as I get a chance, I will let you know.
Basically, if possible, I would like your vet to answer any questions
that my vet may have in terms of

I have just returned from the vet. Sebastian's hind legs are weaker and he has lost more weight. The vet just doesn't seem to want to work with me and do absolutley everything for my baby. When I asked her about the weakness in hishind legs she said that it could just be the disesase attacking
1. Where are you located? You should definitely try a different vet.
I suggest that you try a board-certified internist. They are usually located at
large veterinary hospitals and vet school clinics. Do you have any of
those near you? If so, call and ask if they have an internal medicine
Also, he could have lymophoma, a cancer which positives have a tendency
toward. It is often responsive to chemotherapy, but it would need to be
diagnosed first. So I would try to get to an internist.

Oh that is such a sweet story about Bones - so please she has improved -
the just cope so remarkably well.
Bramble (FIV+) has now been on Feline Omega Interferon for 2 days and I am
learning how to inject tomorrow so that I can just do it at home to save him the
stress of the vet visits. I
jenn, a month will really go fast, we had a cat in a cage in a similar
situation for 6 months, and he recovered completely, he died 2 years
later of Felv, not related to that. Just talk a lot to her and explain
it is for her own good, she will understand. you can also use bach
flowers to keep her
She probably won't have alot to say until I can get them all
switched over to homemade food and get a retest on their bloodwork.
I'm not going to retest them until they are on the homemade food
completely. She can verify that they have both gained weight and Joey's
allergy symptoms are
Hello, Jennifer,
When my BJ

spelling) are treatments for the disease, according to what I read.
However, I would go to someone who knows how to administer
Hi all,
Thanks for your warm emails for Jersey. I am going to print all of them on one page, put it in a plastic folder and attach iton the tree next tohis grave inside the forest. This will also help me torecognise the place in the winter.
I read the Rainbow Bridge poem that Barbara sent me
Stan I think that is an amazing idea!! Your right about the vet and I can't imagine how many times we could have used a list like that in the past. Me and the kitties send you warm wishes.

If anyone knows of a great vet please give me their name and city. I will make an appointment and go there! What abouta vet who uses some of Plechner's techniques. I also want to thank everyone for all of their help it means so much to me.
I think that's a great suggestion. Just today I found out that my favorite vet retired last week with no notice to anyone. Now I have to start all over again with new vet.

Near water can also mean trapped inside a wall
near the water pipes, stuck on a roof with rain gutters, trapped in a damp
basement, outside in the morning dew, outside in the rain, and any other various
sources of water. In fact, it would be hard for him to not be near water to some
extent,
