She had blood work done the first part of
October. The missing teeth were missing when I first had her
examined. I have no clue what her history is. The blood work did
show that she had been spayed. She kept telling me and some animal

Dear Friends,
Mandy is gone. She was not doing well Tuesday night (bleeding from the mouth and unable to eat) and I made the decision to end her suffering. I called my husband and he left work right away to come home. We held her and stroked her and ultimately she began to purr. She never cared
Julie,
I'm so sorry to hear of "Mandy's" passing. At least she passed while at home in your arms instead of a cold shelter/Vet office. Her suffering is over now and she is at peace. You and your husband did what you could for her and made her life comfortable. She knows...she loved you for it.
Julie, I haven't been keeping up on my posts lately, but immediately saw
yours this morning. I'm so very sorry for the loss of your beloved Mandy -
such sweet memories, such caring. We all know how you feel, and the empty
sense of loss - the huge hole in your heart and life, that eventually
Honestly my Monty did all the work himself. I feed him Purina ProPlan Indoor formula dry food and just give him lots of love and attention. I am just so grateful at the news, now I don't have to panic if he sneezes:)

Julie, I'm crying with you. I'm terribly sorry. Nothing I can say will take away

I am so, so sorry. You are going through hell.

Have you tried Lysine-- 500 mg? Also, when Ginger's fever kept coming back,
I did Immuno-regulin, which initially made it go up to 106 for an hour, which
was scary, but then after the second dosage of I-R 3 days later it broke
completely.

Prayers going out for Mandy's soul as she goes to the bridge. It's heart
breaking but I understand what you say about the value of having a lovely last
day together - it is priceless.
I hope you can be comforted knowing she loved and trusted you enough to do the

Oh, Julie, big big hugs to you. Mandy was a
sweetness in your life you will treasure always. She had your love when
she needed it most. My sympathy to you and your hubby.

Oh Julie,
What a heartwarming tribute to your sweet Mandy. I'm so very glad that her passing was peaceful and that you and your husband were both able to see her off to the Bridge. I do understand the hole she left behind; a member of your family has passed, it's as simple and as painful as that.
Julie, I am so sorry. How wonderful that you have some good tiimes to remember even as she neared the end. I know what you mean when you say "empty" and my thoughts are with you and with her.Julie Johnson [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:

Hi Belinda,
Cricket isn't feral, but he sure does act like it
sometimes. He gets crazy if anyone tries to do
anything to him at the vet. Since he was so anemic,
it was less stressful on him to sedate him. I did
find a vet who will administer the ImmunoRegulin that

Oh Julie, I'm so sorry you've lost your sweet Mandy. We do all know
how
excruciatingly difficult that empty space left by our loved ones is to
bear. How the things they were so much a part of, like reading and
fixing
meals, even the time of day when we'd give them their meds is difficult
Wendy, my heart goes out to you and Cricket. I am so sorry.
I'm emailing you an IR package in the next few minutes---it's a
compilation of relevant emails that I put together after I lost Flavia
to severe non-regenerative anemia in July. It details the choice of
protocols for using.

Oh Julie,
I'm sending all the GLOW at my disposal to you and Jazzy... Lighting his path to the Bridge and easing your heartache. Your description of him under the covers with you reminds me of my Bandit; he's my sleepin buddy, on my hip or under the covers:). Praying that Jazzy's journey is smooth
Thank you so much Kerry; I can't seem to get enough
information right now. And I'm feeling pretty
desperate and tired, but probably not more so than
Cricket. I appreciate and look forward to receiving
the package. Maybe something in there will be
lifesaving for him, or give him more time to

Hello Wendy,
One of our very experienced members, Michelle L., highly recommended Immuno regulin (IR) to me, when my Flavia began to succumb to nonregenerative anemia.
While I haven't yet had time to organise the following into one coherent
Hi Julie,
I too had a felv+ named Jazzy. The picture you paint of your life
shared with Jazz brought tears to my eyes. You are so blessed to have
found such a wonderful soul mate to share your love. What a wonderful
little man he is!
I'm not clear about what is going on with Jazz. The

Wendy,
Did you read the post from another new member about using Immuno Regulin
subq? This is not the first time I've read about it being used this
way. I came across it when I was doing research on the internet about
it. I'll do my best to find it again so you can read about it
yourself.
Julie,
I'm glad you found this site. It has been a God-send
for me in the past week while my cat Cricket is sick.
Cricket is doing much like your Jazzy; lying in our
bedroom in a corner behind a plant. I think they may
be twins the way you describe Jazzy: fighting the
pills, purring softly,
Thank you for your prayers Nina. And the info. I am
not sure how Cricket will respond to the needle
tomorrow, but if it's more effective than subQ, I'd
rather go that route. I promised Cricket after his
last harrowing visit to the vet two years ago that I
would never leave him again and I
Wendy,
A hematocrit of 7 is almost at the point of death and well
beyond the point of maybe needing a transfusion. A transfusion may not save him
at this point, but he will definitely die without one. He needs one today if you
are going to try anymore therapies or he will not be strong
Dearest Julie and Mandy-
I am so very sorry that Mandy has passed.
It physically hurts to think how much you are missing Mandy. I know how much
Mandy means to you like everyone on the list, we know exactly how
painful and empty it feels to lose our babies.
Julie, it might not seem like
Hi Wendy,
I'm afraid Michelle is right, my Frankie's Hemocrit was 6 when I lost
him, I would definately get a transfusion to boost his hemocrit and
hopefully give him the strength to get the full benefit from the
immunoregalin!!

ok and what herbs are you giving for fever. The sub q breaks the fever but
goes up again till about 103.5 which is not that bad. I wasn't using antibiotics
but I got real scared of losing her at one point and the vet said to start
clavamox even though it was viral cause she didn't want
Well if she is not eating, its
a different story.. do you also assist-feed her?
Whats her personality like? Is she
affectionate or stand offish?

both fully vetted and had run of my bedroom not caged. but no not affectionate.
Loves any kittens and the pups too
So is she positive or negative on FeLV?
I am sorry I might have missed your previous email.

If you don't have it, go out and buy Nutrical or something like it and
smear globs of it on her paws and see if she licks it off. Definitely try

roast beef.

Also, Nina suggested goat milk, too.
I also try baby food (meat only kind)
cottage cheese, cream cheesesteak.salmon can..

My vet finally mixed the interferon and will be getting it

My experience with Lancelot, this last week, is that he gradually got
better from the URI that has plagued him for months. I've dont lots of
stuff. I usually expect to see dramatic results. It hasn't been that
way. He was a little better the 1st day, then a little more the 2nd day,
etc. A
6 months? only a highly contagious uri that could damage a rescue severly.
of course she and the kittens is isolated but nothing leaves or comes in
till its over.
so I am basiclly shut down
Dear Julie, I am so sorry for your loss. We all know the pain you are experiencing right now, it seems as if your heart truly has broken. I wish there was something I could say to make you feel better, but only time will do that. I lost my little Mandy last December to felv and some days it seems
