For those of you without the history, Whitey came to me about six months ago
relatively permanently.? She showed up and just sort of stayed.? When she came,
she was boney (You could feel its ribs) and her long white fur was literally in
huge mats
First of all, I need to tell you that if you are going to take this cat in
and care for him properly, it is going to cost a good deal of .
I would go to who you think owns him, explain what all is wrong with him and
what will need to be done to fix it, and that you are willing to pay for it
Michael,
First I have to tell you, I love the pictures!
You can tell he feels safe , loved and secure...maybe,
for the first time in his life? I think it is
wonderful that you and Jeff are helping him...I'm
sorry , but when I see any animal, obviously neglected
or in a dangerous situation, I
As far as the feeling guilty is concerned--anyone who lets their cat get into
that condition doesn't deserve to have an animal of any type.

How old do the kittens need to be to use advantage on them or any other flea
product?
Don't worry I don't use over the counter stuff.
These are four and half weeks old now.
Thanks!

I urge you to never let this cat outside again (with the obvious implication
that he will never go home again).
His previous people are totally irresponsible or terribly misinformed about cat
care.
His health depends on him staying inside. Even in one room, he is better off
than in the previous
My vet strongly recommends Frontline so I don't use any other--it may be used
on kittens 8 weeks or older.

I just got another litter of kittens that have the big C wordYAY for me!
One has already died today.
I noticed it had blood in his stools and was bleeding inside.
I know that smell and the color was yellow...yuck!
One isn't looking so hot but drinking and eating.
Others are doing well and
Advantage and Revolution are also 8 weeks and older.

Sherry,
I'm so sorry Brian is gone. I remember his sweet
face...You are a blessing to all the kitties you help
and love. Thank you for everything you do. I still get
the posts from the original list...I'm not back ,but
it is not possible for me to completely close off. So

Thank you Jane, MC, Marylyn, Caroline, Tonya, Belinda and Wendy for
your thoughts and advice. I wanted to wait for a week or so in order
to report back what I hoped would be a uptick in Ember's weight.
Unfortunately, she's still hanging around the general 9 1/12 pounds
area. Probably
I certainly agree with that - no guilt! The kitty needs help and
wasn't getting it. He's lucky to find you.

I would keep them on all wet and not switch between dry and wet until the
diarrhea clears up. Even if it's the same brand I would do that.
