My condolensces on the loss of your boy-cat, Scrappy. It is obvious this
little fellow was special and you two shared a strong bond of love and
friendship. May his journey be easy, and may your heart be eased by the
memories of the time you did have together.

Alice, I was saddened to read that Miss Clara has crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
We love them, care for them and in the end let them go. In time your memories
of the good times with Miss Clara will help you cope with the grief. But it
does take time.
You are in our thoughts and prayers

I will speak against PETA till the day I die and in the meantime I will pray

I don't think they like flies more than cats, I think they consider all life
equal - "a rat is a pig is a dog is a boy" so a rat's life, a pig's life,
and a boy's life are all equal in their minds.
Anyway, the point I was trying to make is that PETA made this video. PETA

what I would like for my guys.

According to a TV special I saw about it, the whole place is fenced in with

We work with seni9or and special needs animals and often find good homes for

average we spend about $500 per cat getting them ready for adoption. And

I would definitely be concerned about only one person caring for all those

there were not as many cats at the place, yet. I would definitely worry

I agree Susan, the more humans available, the more likely the sanctuary to

When my mother died, she had 17 rescued cats. Since I was "up to here" with
our rescues, I found someone to live in her house, free of charge, in

No. NOT Cathouse on the Kings. Have you actually been there? Recently?
Don't recommend them unless you're answering yes to both questions.
There are a lot of problems with Cathouse on the Kings. They have 600-800
cats, poor tracking and intake procedures (inadequate testing and FeLV cats

Hi Kat, This is exactly what I have done so far. In my will I have
left $1,000 for each of my 14 cats. It is the best I can think of to
assure they are cared for. However, I have no way of knowing some
unscrupulous person won't take the money and dump the cat!! It's the

Kelley, Thanks for reminding us about PETA. I used to give them

certainly get the worst treatm

Alice, I wish you and your kitty well. My Miss Clara never took the interferon.
She was diagnosed last July with lymphoma. I had to let her go yesterday. The
disease finally beat her. I don't know how I will EVER be able to go forward
without her.

sanctuary/shelter/will/caretaker sort of thing. It's very illuminating.
And I just have to say, well said Kelley on the PETA thing. They creep me
