PS. In a young cat especially, undetected HCM usually strikes kitties 6 and under, I had one that was 9 years old die from this. Perfectly healthy until he had a seizure and died. The vet said from the symptoms I described it was heart related. He did check him over to see if he choked on

Keisha, died suddenly died from congestive heart failure. We did make it to the vet (twice that day) and she died there the second time. He missed the problem at the first visit despite the chest xrays showing fluid and sent her home. She collapsed when we got home and I rushed her back out there.
