Susan, if you negative cats are up on their shots, let your positive baby in
with them. i have 2 positives and they are not seperated. my vet said that as
long as the negatives are up on their shots and there are no bloody battles
(especially biting), there should be no problem. i tried to
More often than not a sudden death without any noticeable symptoms
is usually heart related.

healthy until he had a seizure and died. The vet said from the symptoms

Susan, I don't know much about FeLV cats and am new to this list. I
may seem COLD saying this but I hope Sammie will die like your cat. I
realize it's very difficult but my greatest fear is to see Sammie
suffer.
I do feel very sorry for your other cat. I hope he will be OK.

I'm so sorry Susan. What a shock for you.
I had this very discussion yesterday with a rescuer. We were commenting on how
quickly and devastatingly our FeLV cats can succumb. One day they can seem ok,
the next they're gone. In my experience I've had a few days' notice. But by
that time the
Keisha, died suddenly died from congestive heart failure. We did make it to
the vet (twice that day) and she died there the second time. He missed the
problem at the first visit despite the chest xrays showing fluid and sent
her home. She collapsed when we got home and I rushed her back out there.

Susan, I'm so sorry for your loss. What was your baby's name? As others
have said, it sounds like he went peacefully and that is great. Gentle
Bridge vibes to him.
Everybody has different circumstances, but is there any way you could
integrate your other FeLV+ baby into the household? Many

Because of the age and suddeness I would guess a heart thing. Many
cats with undiagnosed Cardiomyapathy can pass suddenly with no outward
symptoms, generally before or by the age of 6. I lost my Snyder very
suddenly at age 9, no symptoms what-so-ever, just the day he died, he
had a heart
If you give me the sweet little guys name I'll add him to the Candle

buddy for your sudden loss.

why FeLVs would be more susceptible to them than any other cat would
