That's why I'm here begging...I have bought him til Monday and this whole
thing is really tearing up the feeder. She cries every time she goes to the
vet. If worst comes to worst I will go with her Monday to have him pts.
Lets not make me have to do that!

Please contact me off list about this kitty.
I would love to know exactly what condition is treatable and what treatment
would make him very infectious beyond being as infectious as he is now.

Aren't there any rescue groups around Austin area?
No kind person to temporarily foster this poor cat?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed - good luck!

There are many, many rescue groups around Austin, but none who will take an
FELV+ cat. I have always used this list for placement in the past and
always gotten lucky.:)

Kelley, do you have any personal friends whom you might call on for a big
favor? Are there any FeLV groups that could be called on, not necessarily
in Austin, but in the area? It's such a shame, because this cat may just
have had a false positive...
I can't even get anyone to hold on to a healthy kitten temporarily - all my
favors are called in long ago, and I've even having problems placing barn
cats. . We could start treatment, but this lady gets more attached to this
cat by the day and it really is not fair to her (or the cat) to put him
Yup sounds weird, I'm curious too. Sounds like maybe he's getting
sick and anemic from the FELV, but you never know, could just have

In the end it doesn't matter, we will not have time to find out if I don't
find placement by tomorrow.

I can understand the second test and yea you need to wait that time. Im sorry
that you cant find anyone in your area to hold the cat for the 6 weeks but
please DON'T try and put down sanctuaries. We like any rescue look for

Diane is right. Homie likes my small laundry hamper. Of course, i has to have
a piece of my clothes in it. She barely fits in it and nw that Harley has seen
her in it, he has taken over another one. I got sevel small ones for whites,
light colored cothes and dark ones. Now I am down to one
I am not putting down sanctuaries or your sanctuary. I know Crash's Landing
and you, among others, do wonderful work. This particular person brings in
tens of thousands of dollars in donations and she does it, in MY opinion, in
an underhanded way. This is a person who has done very bad things
Could you take him in temporarily, just until a home is found for him? He
could stay in a cage i you are worried about your cats although, if they are
all up to date on shots, they should be safe.

The prblem with rescue groups right now, is that with people loosing jobs and
homes, there is no more room. We have 3 groups within driving distance here
and they and their fosters are all full up. They have had to turn animals away
because they do not have enough room or people to care for
What she needs most is time to learn that she can trust you. Shorty took 8
months before I could pick him up. He ate from my hand and then on day let me
scratch under his chin. That felt good so next day I got to rub his head. Then
things started comin much faster. You just have to keep

your laundry =0)

Hi everyone! My one year old sweet litle boy was just diagnosed. I have a
