Hi
I'm having problems building texmacs. The configure process chokes
because guile can't find libgcc.dylib. From what I can find out about
libgcc, it should not be used with Jaguar. Is it possible to persuade
guile not to use this library?
Hmm, I do have one or two things - from the days before I knew about
Fink mainly. Before I obliterate everything in the /usr/local
directory, do you happen to know what should be in there - or where I
can find out?
Thanks

Thanks for your help Alex.
A combination of moving /usr/local to a new location and a clean
install of fink did the job. I think one of the packages in my
previous install of fink had managed to get linked against libgcc.dylib.

I actually got it going, for some reason it didn't pick up the latest

I manually added it in and it works now.

I am trying to compile net-snmp-unified with the python bindings.
The python bindings require setuptools which I have installed using
"fink -y install setuptools-py25". It installs successfully, but the
net-snmp install fails because python can't load the module.
/usr/bin/python is a symlink t
p-unified python modules and
the fink installed setuptools ?
If not, then can we force configure to search /sw/bin first ? The
AC_PATH_PROG macro has a field to modify the path variable so that could
be used.
Hope all that helps. I'm happy to try out any maintainer originated
changes.

It's pretty obvious, to any fink user, that fink deserves to win this.
I hope that the maintainers, as a group, will submit. It would be nice
for you t
have "exclusive rights to, the Mac OS X
related portions of the Work" (that would defeat some of the purpose of
open source, wouldn't it?).
Is such legal language designed to exclude a true open source project,
like Fink?
