I am trying to project a texture on the scenario background. A priori
everything is setup correctly and the code should

Well - it's not really a serial driver, the interface connects thru the
handshake lines rts/cts and dtr with rxd and txd left unconnected since the
LTC1090 speaks a synchronous protocol.

I put the source of the LTC1090 joystick driver here:

At the bottom of the page you find the download link for the source-tarball.
This is a kernel module for a linux 2.6 kernel on ix86 machines with
8250/16450 serial ports (standard pc hardware).

Yeah, that wasn't clear

Adding to what Curtis has said. There is no "standard" per se regards
connecting custom hardware to FlightGear. Off-the-shelf stuff like
joysticks, throttle quadrants,

Yep, it has been done. No there is no single solution. However there
is a network interface which could be used for this. The header files

What is the current state of modeling sensors in FlightGear? There's a

That's a really nice model - the textures are great, as is the animated
yaw-string. Makes me wish I had the ability to produce these things - I do
regularly try, but always give up in disgust quite qui

that the requirement of an active read (that is bound to a subsystem owned

care who owns the value, does it? Sorry
