FYI, it turns out this problem had to do with a new
version of the antivirus SW we use combined with OS on
our file servers. Note, not all files servers had
this problem (Windows OS did NOT).

is being told that Framemaker is going bye-bye at her organization because
the powers that be insist Rational Soda will do the same thing - not
Framemaker overall going bye-bye.

that time, they said that they were planning to release the beta version
of the DITA plug-in for FrameMaker sometime in August. I haven't
followed up, and it's been a little while, but I *believe* they said

The Asian language docs are copied from the CD to your \OnlineManuals
directory (C:\Program Files\Adobe\FrameMaker7.2\OnlineManuals, for
example).
If you do have any Asian fonts installed, they should be registered
and show up in your Windows Character Map tool. And should be able to
be inserted
