Yes .. FrameMaker works directly with XML (has since FM7.1).
FM11 (and 12) even have a "code view" mode that lets you edit the XML
markup directly.

I had an issue which may be similar. My problem was that one or more text
frames were not in the main flow, even though Frame reported they were all in
Flow A. The solution I found was the following:
Open the Frame file with the problem.
Select the first text frame.
Select the second text

thread, but other work got in the way, and there were so many things to try! I
don't think I got to them all, but here is what worked for me on my colleague's
virtual machine:
* Copy the infinity symbol fro

subsequent heads, including level 1 heads.
I suspect that an errant end-of-flow tag in the chapter head frame
may be the problem. No idea how it got there, it appear

do you use the same master pages for each chapter? If it only happens in the
last chapter, try to switch chapters and see what happens.

I would first suggest upgrading all your users to the latest version of Reader.
Not only this old version of Reader has various security vulnerabilities, it is
also not fully compatible with the Shared Review PDF mode. We have experienced
many problems with old Reader versions, including PDF fil
