My best advice is to get the free SetPrint plug-in from Sundorne so that
Frame always uses the Adobe PDF printer instance (while leaving your
default hardware printer as-is in other app's). Then always print to
PDF, the
oughout the book -- each master page could
have the same numbering 1-100 or whatever suits. For production,
reimport your regular template to get rid of the line numbers.
Just a thought...

I have a client with a huge document and LOTs and LOFs that are 20
pages each. Has anyone figured out an automated way to fix this
problem? My experiments haven’t turned up a solution.

AFAIK, FM still does not support transparency, so that's why you get the
white background. Not sure why the fuzziness, unless Visio is producing
a low-res preview as in EPS files. (I have never used Visio.)

Look at the left end of the status bar at the bottom of your window. The
Flow tag, Pagaragh tag, and Character tag (if used) appear in that

BabelMap is useful because it does show the existence (or not) of
particular glyphs in a font. FM's character palette lies to you, by
substituting from a different font when it encounters glyphs lacking in
the font you're using. And it doesn't bother telling you abo

You could try printing the file to the Acrobat printer instance as an
image (Advanced print properties) and then using either Acrobat or
OneNote to perform OCR. OneNote does that automatically when you add a
file to a notebook.
