TO continue this saga, I checked with my client this morning about the
Adobe PDF writer port. Her's is set exactly as mine is -- Port: My
documents\.pdf.
Just for grins I had her change the port to desktop\.pdf. She is going
to run a test.
I'll also try setting up a port just for file as ha

to postscript.

In fact, sample documents that still ship with FM9 (Report.fm) still say
"Terramed enters 1995", which is how I remember the year of acquisition.

In whch case there is a problem in your file you are trying to print.
Possible/probable things to look for are graphics, especially malformed eps
graphics, corrupted links and cross references, etc.
When the ps process fails it shouild be producing a log file in the same
directory as that you are
