I've also made boot floppies (use 5-current code as of Nov/21/2001)
for anyone who try to find out that this problem is gone away.

Moreover, sysinstall requires devfs on /mnt/dev only if trying to
mount filesystems. I've made a patch to do that (and more), and test
now (yes, *right now*).
