Well, do an ifconfig -a and post it so that we have some more information.
Please post your /etc/rc.conf as well
Non of the ISP's I know of support anything other then Windows and Mac OS.
But, we should be able to make it work!

Sounds like you just need to add dns servers to your /etc/resolv.conf
Your ISP should be able to give them to you. Entries are just:
nameserver 123.123.123.132
ifconfig -a should have displayed your ip address. That will
tell you if your dhcp is really working.

Unless the product has changed partition magic will not work with the server

Create an NFS share and distribute the source using that.
You cvsup one computer, and then you have it on all of them.

Restricted shells are really fairly worthless security wise. You can do
this with cudo and chroot, or with jail, or with sshd2 which is in ports.
This can become tricky getting all the programs you want to function.
http://www.tjw.org/chroot-login-HOWTO/
sshd2 would be the easy way to do this.
First off, this is not a hardware problem! It crashes at the exact same
spot over and over on multiple different commands.
I had a 5.1 - 5.2 upgrade via cvsup that went terribly wrong. The machine
got rebooted and certain things would no longer work. I cannot get a make

because it requires I take the box offline and
offsite

sshd2 will do this and if you read the license I believe it is legal to use
for most users.
Else you can use sudo to make a ssh chroot.
